Terms of Use

When you join the website, you must agree to a set of terms and conditions. Users will be presented with the following text and need to check a box indicating that they agree with the terms before their registration will be accepted.

You must agree to the following before your user registration will be accepted.

For General Use

As a registered user of this website, you may be able to access certain restricted materials. You will also be able to participate in discussions by posting comments. To be accepted as a registered user you must agree to respect the copyright of authors and not engage in plagiarism. In your postings, you must not engage in hurtful or abusive language or your account may be revoked.

For Contributors of Educational Materials

In the event that you are accepted as a contributor to this website, you will be able to add and upload materials to the website.

ExposureAnalysis.Org is a collaborative website intended to produce publicly-available materials for use in developing or augmenting University curricula.

Our philosophy is that open access to educational materials will promote the advancement of Exposure Science in general as a field of inquiry, especially by attracting new students and students from other fields.

Hence, our goal is to produce materials that can be freely used by anyone, and which can be updated, improved, and freely reused by anyone. It is vital that modifications continue to be made available to anyone who wants them.

We also recognize the importance of maintaining attribution for the authors of all materials.

To preserve open access to contributed materials and the attribution of authors, we have decided to use the Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike license
for all curricular materials. This license allows for copying, distribution, modification, and reuse of materials as long as: (1) the original source is always attributed, and (2) the materials are shared under the same or similar license.

To become a member of ExposureAnalysis.Org, you must agree to the use of this license for written or graphical materials you contribute to the website towards curricular materials and have tagged as "For Public Release", including postings on or related to Presentations, Exercises, Solutions, Projects, or Resources.

Materials will not be published using the above license until you have explicitly tagged them as "For Public Release". Prior to that time, access to your submitted materials will only be available to private groups that you have specified.

You, as the author, retain control over your submissions as follows:

YOU RETAIN THE COPYRIGHT OF ALL YOUR SUBMISSIONS.

YOU WILL ALWAYS BE ATTRIBUTED FOR ALL OF YOUR SUBMISSIONS.

YOU DETERMINE WHEN SUBMITTED MATERIALS WILL BE RELEASED.

Important: The above license does not restrict your own use of the materials you contribute. You retain the copyright for all the materials you contribute, which allows you to re-license, reuse, or re-publish them in any way you wish. You can choose to restrict use of the material to private groups on the website for as long as you wish. Your submissions will not be published openly under the above Creative Commons license, either on the website or in hardcopy form, until you tag them as "For Public Release". After you have released them, they may be used by anyone under the terms of the license.

If you agree to these terms, please check the box before you submit the registration form.
